Live Your Dream Award  (formerly Womens' Opportunity Award)

Soroptimist International (SI) Phoenix will be accepting applications for the 2017-2018 Live Your Dream Award program, July 15th to November 15th.  The award program was established in 1972 to assist women heads of household in obtaining skills training and education necessary to improve their employment status and standard of living for themselves and their family.  Each year Soroptimist clubs in 19 countries and territories assist women by awarding 1 to 3 winners.

This year, Soroptimist International of Phoenix will be selecting three winners.  The first, second and third place winners will be awarded $2,000, $1,500 and $1,000 respectively to support their education goals.  Please help us spread the word.

Applications for the award program will be accepted July 1st, 2017 through November 15th, 2017.  You can click the following links to complete the documents: 2017-2018 LYDA Application and 2017-2018 LYDA Reference Form.  Email them to lyda@siphx.org or click on Contact Us for more information.

LYDA is Soroptimist’s major service project.  To be eligible, winners must be women who provide primary support for their families, and who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or undergraduate degree program.   Applicants may apply for this award from only one Soroptimist club.
